Kinder outraises Nixon by quarter of a million
Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder received a quarter of a million more in contributions than his likely opponent in 2012, Gov. Jay Nixon, according to documents posted today on the Missouri Ethics Commission website.
Kinder raised $478,211, while Nixon reported $253,622.49.
Nixon spent $139,450, leaving him with $1,097,341.95.
Despite Kinder's recent fundraising advantage, Nixon has more than twice as much money as Kinder, who had $475,754.37.

Hmm. Maybe he should pay off the $315,000 in debt that he's still carrying from having borrowed a bunch of cash from the Matt Blunt campaign? http://bit.ly/d8yI5A
Or perhaps the Blunts are just letting that debt go bad in exchange for Kinder's buying Schweich out of the primary for $100,000.
