Unions, law firms help Montee top half million dollars

State Auditor Susan Montee appears to be in good financial shape for her general election campaign against the winner of the Republican primary between Allen Icet and Thomas Schweich.

The Democratic incumbent had $518,699.34 in her account as of June 30, according to her disclosure report, filed Wednesday with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

Ms. Montee received $211,416.10 in the second quarter, with much of that money coming from labor unions and law firms, according to the documents.
