Why does it take a tragedy, such as the one that just occurred in Anderson, MO to remind our state government that they have been remiss in protecting those citizens who cannot fend for themselves?

'Heartland Diary" comments on failure of group home legislation
Springfield blogger Betty B offers her thoughts on the Monday Turner Report revelation that legislation by Florissant Democrat Tim Green, which would have addressed some of the issues that have arisen in connection with the Anderson Guest House fire, was bottled up in a committee headed by Sen.
