They were the first to report Joplin investment adviser Mark L. Henry's NASD record. He violated a court order and allowed more than $30,000 to be
removed from a conservatorship. ICA, the company that later dismissed him for nonperformance, and regulators apparently did not punish him for the 2000 incident. Everyone from the Daily to the Globe rewrote the SOS press release. Joplin Tri-State Business was the first to dig a little deeper. Also, Joplin Tri-State Business scooped everyone on the fact that Woody's Smokehouse had settled a lawsuit filed by the owners of a Texas-based restaurant chain.
A job well done. Hopefully, someday I will get a chance to read a copy of Joplin Tri-State Business.

Unfortunately it is very difficult to find a copy of JTB. I'm not even sure it's possible to find it on newsstands.
