I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Stone, something which I regret, but he did add a special flavor to area blogs with his nearly always politically incorrect comments on anything and everything.
He listed his occupation as "opposition," something to which his arch-enemy and frequent target Vincent David Jericho could surely attest.
His final post, which ran Tuesday, was just as outrageous as ever, though it was only nine words. Under the headline, "Libertarian Party," Mr. Stone wrote:
People who want to smoke dope and get laid.
John Stone went out with a bang.
