Thanks to everyone who turned out for the first signing for my new book, Newspaper Days, Saturday at Hastings in Joplin. It was nice to arrive 20 minutes early and already have customers waiting.
During the next three hours and 20 minutes, it was non-stop activity, as I had a chance to talk with many old friends, including two who are featured in the book, former Carthage Press advertising salesman Stewart Johnson and former Press reporter Pat Payne (formerly Halvorsen).

I plan to have more signings in area towns and again in Joplin in the near future.
