Weak Pre-Primary report for Darrell Moore

The most disappointing campaign of the Seventh District Republican primary is showing no signs of life in the final weeks.

An early poll showed Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Darrell Moore had the best name recognition in the race, but he was never able to capitalize on it. His pre-primary report, filed today with the FEC, shows $2,205 in contributions in July, giving him only $43,362 for the campaign.

He only spent $800 during the month, the report indicates with all of that money going for a KY3 website ad.

He received three contributions from donors named on the report- $250 from Sam Hamra, Hamra Enterprises, Springfield; $1,000 from Bill Little, retired, Bolivar; and $500 from John Kelly Martin, Southwest Baptist University professor.

The Moore campaign is in debt $6,153.41, according to the report.
