Billy Long: We must repeal and replace Obamacare

In an op-ed in today's Springfield News-Leader, Republican Seventh District Congressional candidate Billy Long says Obamacare must go:

We must repeal and replace Obamacare. Health care costs are rising much faster than inflation while other sectors of the economy are reducing costs and increasing quality. A massive new bureaucracy will be completely inept at holding down costs, unless the bureaucrats ration care, and government systems are woefully inadequate at providing the innovation we need to save lives. Instead of making the problem worse with Obamacare, let's put reforms in place that empower the individual. Allow people to shop for insurance across state lines. Change the tax code to make it attractive for people to purchase insurance directly rather than through their employer and allow portability. Cap noneconomic awards to freeze frivolous lawsuits.

I'll bet some of the folks out there spit up their coffee when they read this.

Many of us from the outset knew the fabricated stories about the purpose of the Metro Grill group to raise money for worthy causes were not true.

Many, many, many businesses in Southwest Missouri go out of their way to help raise money for organizations and people in need.

Many people always try to place some money in the jars at cash registers appealing for support for families who have losst their home; to support medical and burial expenses; and many other causes.

Metro Grill has simply targeted men with the financial ability to make a difference an a cause that collectively they can support and make a difference.

I seriously doubt poor Billy has any idea what the health care plan that was passed by the congress contains. If he did, he might be more supportive of something that will provide health coverage for all of the people who are "fed up".
Speaking of fed up, did you see that 33% of american people will have diabetes by the year of 2050 because of being over weight.
That's too fed up!

When Pelosi said "But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it..." and it's more than 2,000 pages long, Billy and most anyone else can be forgiven for not knowing all that's in it ... and that's before 10+ times as many pages of regulations are written to fill in the many blanks.

However, we do know that for all the sound, fury and expense, the bill was not projected to achieve the goal of universal access to waiting lines, err, that is, to health care.
