Brunner takes the lead in governor's race

Businessman John Brunner has erased Eric Greitens' early lead to move to the top in the four-way Republican race for governor.

Brunner has 6,056 votes to 5,573 for Greitens, 3,190 for Catherine Hanaway and 2,710 for Peter Kinder.

In other GOP contests:

-Mike Parson continues to hold the lead in the lieutenant governor's race with 8,961 votes to 7,315 for Bev Randles.

-Jay Ashcroft is building a big lead in the secretary of state race with 11,044 votes to 5,162 for Will Kraus.

-In the hotly contested attorney general race, Josh Hawley is pulling in 62 percent of the vote, with 10,230 votes to 6,216 for Eric Schaefer.
