Joplin man facing felony charge: It's a lie and I'm going to blast you for being a weak reporter

The series of posts the Turner Report and Inside Joplin has featured about Ace Mohr, 23, Carthage, who is awaiting trial in Jasper County Circuit Court on various felony charges, started when the Joplin Police Department arrested him and Steven Prall, Joplin, August 30 on armed robbery and drug charges following an incident at 7th and Moffet.

On the same day, the Turner Report revealed that then Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Dean Dankelson had dropped armed robbery cases against Mohr on two earlier occasions.

In the case of the alleged armed robbery at 7th and Moffet, Dankelson elected not to file any charges against Mohr, though the Joplin Police Department recommended charges of first degree robbery, possession of a controled substance, and armed criminal action.

Dankelson did, however, file a felony charge of delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance with intent. Other charges recommended by JPD, robbery first degree, and conspiracy to commit robbery, were not filed.

Apparently, Prall has discovered what has been written about him and left the following comment Wednesday:

If you are a true reporter then why don't you come interview me instead of just interviewing JPD and getting just their side of the story.

This is BS if you ask me. Come get my side of the story.

Those charges will not stand against me. Seriously it wasn't even my dang car so how was I supposed to know the supposedly nylon bag was in the car? I will tell you whose car it was, and when you look those 2 people up, you will believe that crap was not mine.

The real owner of the car is in federal prison. The guy that let me use the car is in Jasper County on multiple felony charges, one of the charges is for 10 ounces of meth and trafficking.

Seriously Mr. Turner, come interview me before you post this crap on a website that the public sees. You're going off of everything JPD says which is not fair to me and my family. Get both sides of the story before you make a report.

Be a real reporter for once. Its all a lie.

And armed robbery seriously. No one had any weapons lol and no one got robbed what has the news come to for real?

Thank you, This is Steven Prall by the way, and I'm waiting for my interview. If I don't get one you're gonna be blasted all over any kind of media for being a weak... Reporter!!!

Jasper County Circuit Court records indicate Prall's next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 15.

The probable cause affidavit in the case can be found at this link.

I should add that I have not interviewed the police officers. The information that I have written about this case has been taken directly from public records and from official news releases from the Joplin Police Department.

Randy,

Just curious if you will interview this young man, or did your interactions with CJ and Tina satisfy your desire to report on the seamy side of society?

Several times in several different cases jpd lies on police reports heck last year i was facing tampering charges for a car i was given consent to drive because the person who had the car lawfully hadnt made a deadline to get the car back on time because the person had a few drinks and already had several dwi charges made the right decision to not drive the car home and the person reported the car stolen instead of just waiting the car to arrive home which was an understandable arrest until sorted out but then a passenger i had in the back seat stashed needles in the car leaving me the driver to tale the fall for it in a 5 speed car honestly how would i of been able to drive stash needles but not a bag of thc wax in which joplin tested twice by two different officers they say tested positive for meth and wasnt till the third time they sent to highway patrol office to have tested and after the first test it came back positive for weed lied about me and passenger in front seat moving around when i was frozen solid because of the robo-cop like attitude i was approached with lied about how many times they put the dog in the car only stating twice when the actual number was 5 times and when all that had to be done to not persicute an innocent person on charges adding up to 14 years in prison and tearing my family apart they held charges all the way to trial when they seen i wss going to fight it and that they had no proof that i had committed any wrong doing and wasnt going to just plead guilty so they could drain even more money from my childrens mouths one child only couple months old in order to get less time in prison and lesser fines and restitution for the vehicle which was valued at more than the car appraised for in perfect condition even tho nothing wss wrong or had even been damaged on the car on top of the over three thousand dollars it took to get out of jail i recevieved a fraction of that bond back after court leaving about 1600 i would never see again on top of missing out on just under a month spent in jasper county i had recently just got my own small business going i had to sell all my tools losing everything all because these terminators they are traing these days are unable to do the job they are paid to do they half ass shit and are quick to slap on the cuffs and fill out a few forms saying whatever they think is going to make themselves look like a hero not saying all cops are bad there are several very respectable men who honestly uphold the oath they take when starting the job some just want that bonus check not caring about justice or what their small lie will do to a person who is looked at like a liar because well were not cops are word isnt worth crap i think all departments should wear body cameras that way the real truth is seen and nothing gets sugar coated
