ACLU: Senate Bill 43 takes us back to time of racism, sexism, xenophobia

(From American Civil Liberties Union Missouri)

On Monday, the Missouri House passed Senate Bill 43, a dangerous measure that once signed into law will take us back to a time of racism, sexism and xenophobia in Missouri.

This bill makes workplaces more hostile for Missouri's women, people of color and religious minorities. It's not just bad for Missourians, it's bad for business.

We applaud the brave, bipartisan coalition of Missourians that stood up for the American ideals of liberty and equality in our state by speaking and voting against Senate Bill 43 in Monday's house debate.

Protect our American ideals and the rights of Missourians. Call Gov. Greitens and ask him to veto SB 43.

You know what's also bad for business? Sexual harassment and discrimination. Workplace sexual harassment is already underreported. SB 43 actually discourages reports of abuse.

Call Gov. Greitens today and tell him to VETO SB 43.

Let's not make Missouri known as the state where you can discriminate and harass people at work — and get away with it.
