Probable cause statement: Security cameras catch Joplin woman driving drunk in Mercy Hospital parking lot

A May 16 arraignment is scheduled in Newton County Circuit Court for a Joplin woman charged with felony driving while intoxicated after being stopped in the Mercy Hospital parking lot.

It was the second DWI charge this year for Heather Renee Perrin, 45, who was also arrested by the Newton County Sheriff's Office January 29. Her next hearing on that charge is also scheduled for May 16.

According to the probable cause statement, when Joplin police officers arrived at Mercy Thursday, Perrin was sitting in the driver's seat of a silver Nissan with a door open being prevented from leaving by a hospital security officer.

The statement describes Perrin as being "highly intoxicated" and indicates she failed numerous field sobriety tests. She refused to take a breathalyzer test.

Security cameras captured her driving erratically in the parking lot.

And to think people let her and her sister and mother in their homes to clean, never again will a drunk clean my house.

If I had to clean your house I would drink heavily also.

Just because someone was drinking one day doesn't make them a drunk. And what does that have to do with the mother or sister your comment is completely ignorant.
