Seneca Board President: Eggleston's values and goals align with our district; he's a man of character and integrity

(From the Seneca R-7 School District)

Dr. Jim Cummins served as the superintendent of the Seneca R7 School District for four years. During his time as the superintendent, Seneca Schools have made drastic improvements in both academics as well as in facilities. We appreciate the time and dedication that Dr. Cummins has given to our school and we wish him the best of luck with the Neosho School District.

We recently began a search for a new superintendent of Seneca Schools. The Board of Education received and interviewed several applicants. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Brandon Eggleston has been offered the job as the new Seneca R7 Superintendent and he has accepted this position.

Dr. Eggleston has 18 years of experience in the education field. Dr. Eggleston is currently serving as the High School Principal with Joplin Schools where he has served for the previous two years. Prior to that he served as the principal at North Middle School in Joplin.

Dr. Eggleston received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Missouri Southern State University in 1999. He later received a Master of Arts Degree from William Woods University in 2004, his Specialist Degree in ED Leadership from Missouri State University in 2010, and his Doctorate in Education Degree from Lindenwood University in 2014.

“Dr. Eggleston’s educational philosophy, values and goals aligned very well with our district,” stated Rob Nesvold, Seneca Board President. BOE President Nesvold also stated, “Dr. Eggleston is a man of character and integrity that we believe will continue to lead our district in a positive direction.”

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Eggleston as the new Superintendent of the Seneca R7 School District.

William Woods and Lindenwood. Another diploma mill administrator, what a joke. As far as his character and integrity goes, the dealings I had with him during his short time as high school principal says completely the opposite. Good luck Seneca, you're going to need it.

So 2:32, where are your Masters and doctorate degrees from?

I grew up with Brandon, he and his entire family are great people. Seneca is lucky to have him.

Missouri State and MU, respectively. ;)

Seneca seems to love getting Joplin leftovers. Joplin High School is such a good example of higher education!!!! Thank God my kids are almost do e in Seneca.

I'm more inclined to agree with the "good riddance" type comments. Hopefully Seneca is not just a stepping stone towards coming back one day in a more senior position.

Haters..... this is why our country is on a downward spiral. Be happy for the success of others instead of making demeaning remarks. This man has four degrees, none of which came from a diploma mill. We live in the technology age....lots of courses can be taken online, but no classroom can teach you more than actual experience, which he has 18 years of!

Is the same Eggleston that was sued for allowing kids to go on religious field trips during his tenure as principal at NMS...? Seneca asking for financial troubles if you ask me.
