China Pantry fails Joplin Health Department inspection

China Pantry, 101 N. Range Line Road, failed its Joplin Health Department inspection Thursday with three priority violations and five core violations, according to information posted on the department website. 

Priority violations were noted for the following:

-Multiple bins of fried chicken were maintained on the counter at ambient room temperatures and had been there for more than two hours.

-Potentially hazardous food in the prep cooler were being cold held above 41 degrees.

-Plastic bins holding chicken and noodles were melted and cracked on food contact surfaces.








Core violations were recorded for the following:

-Heavy grease buildup was seen on the wire shelf near fryers in the kitchen

-Faucets were leaking

-Condensate drain line to ice machine was leaking

-The dish area had unleashed glass light bulbs

-Heavy debris accumulations were seen below and behind cooking equipment.

The following establishments passed their inspections:

IHOP, 2117 S Range Line Road

Wendy's, 4500 S. 43 Highway

Jimmy's Egg, 1611 S. Range Line Road

Applebee's, 2825 E. 32nd Street
