KOAM dominates November sweeps

The Nielsen November sweeps results have been released and it's the same old story.

6 a.m. to 7 a.m. - KOAM 12,000, KODE 5,000, KSNF 4,000

12 noon- KOAM 16,000, KSNF 2,000

5 p.m.- KOAM 25,000, KODE 11,000, KSNF 5,000

6 p.m.- KOAM 37,000, KODE 10,000, KSNF 10,000

To anonymous who asks, who cares about local TV ratings. Audience levels show preference of viewing. Since that is the measurement of quality, like stock prices are the measurement of a business quality, it is important. Local News has more viewers in this market than any other program, including all cable and satellite, and all Prime Time. You don't care about local News. Apparently 10's of thousands differ based on the numbers. Your question is as shallow and irrelevant as your opinion.

I agree. The only programming a local station controls is their local News. They can't be held accountable for their network programming and don't control their syndicated content. KSN had nothing to do with Leno being their 9pm show and KFJX has nothing to do with FOX ending programming at 9pm. If you want to judge a local station, judge them by the viewership in the programs they create.

Did anyone notice how far KSN and KODE have fallen while KOAM has grown and the newby, KFJX, came out of nowhere? Unlike Newspaper, this is not a lifestyle trend, like more people seeking their news online, but rather a major shift in product preference. I don't think it is about more or less people watching local TV but rather switching what they watch. I watch KOAM because I think it is the best but I guess everyone is beginning to agree. What did they do at KODE and KSN? Since I watch KOAM, I haven't noticed the changes that took them right into the pooper.
