News-Leader endorses Jack Goodman

Citing his stand on the Ford Claycomo vote (and mentioning Gary Nodler's failure to show up for that vote), the Springfield News-Leader endorsed Sen. Jack Goodman , Mount Vernon, for the GOP Seventh District Congressional nomination today:

Goodman, though, has demonstrated the best mix of: knowledge of the legislative process; the ability to recognize when to stand his ground and when to build consensus; adherence to principle; and reasonableness when faced with thorny, partisan gridlock.

He's had a history of success.
Though only 37, he has served in the Senate since 2006. He was elected assistant majority leader in 2007 and re-elected in 2008.

Way to go Jack!

Don't know what you did to please the left wing-nuts at the News-Leader or how bad this endorsement will hurt you.

I hope you can win in spite of this.

"Goodman [shows] reasonableness when faced with thorny, partisan gridlock."

Evidence? When has superficial bumper sticker Goodman ever done anything remotely approaching this?

I read his flyers. All typical boilerplate blah blah blah.

Well, what you don't understand is that Jack is mad. He says so everytime he gets an audience.

And you know what happens when Jack gets mad, don't you?

Not a whole hell-of-a-lot.

In Springfield, anything doing with the News-Misleader is sure to hurt you.

@6:51 Do you ever read anything outside of political propaganda? You don't know Jack!

Goodman fought for and passed the village law and the castle doctrine with bipartisan support.

He is WELL known in Jefferson City for reaching across the aisle to help pass bills for Missourians, and perhaps the best person at doing it.

Read up on politics before making a snap decision on someone just because you like Gary or Billy or someone else more. Odds are if you did so, you'd probably be backing Jack!
