For a short time, it appeared that Seventh District Congressman Billy Long was going to buck Donald Trump and vote against the Trumpcare bill, but when Trump summoned him to the White House and told him he needed him (he really, really, really needed him), Long changed his mind and gave the Turner Report its number one post this week.
Come on now! You need to take the Turner Report writers and the editors to the woodshed. Most everyone knew all along that Congressman Billy Long was just posturing. Also- It's the Trumpcaresless bill. So why would ideas or principles matter? Billy Long and Trumpcaresless is all a immorality play in six short acts.
First act: Blubba Long acts like he he was agin this new fanagled Trumpcaresless healthcare because he had some principles and when they intersected with this new health careless policy he got indigestion. So he starts to throw his weight around! Gits him some high profile media attention in an instant. Postures and acts important. Gets his ego stroked big time. He's the best thing to come out of Joplin since those Big Johnson Overalls(tm)!
Second act: Any smart person already knew Blubba hadn't read the bill - because the republikkkans had already decided they had to pass the bill to find out what was in it. They shore don't need no obammer commie budget orfice to hep them count how bad it will be. They'se got fingers AND toes! So if it isn't about the facts or impacts of the Trumpcaresless bill (remember- it's Blubba Long- so it's can't be!) after a minute the smart person wants to know what's in it for Blubba? (Behind closed doors Blubba's scheduler is blocking out time for him to take a golden shower.)
Third act: Bubba Long cancels his latest trip to Las Vegas and goes with his empty plate in hand to Warshington Dee Cee to see what kind of treats the Orange Foolius and Boy Blunder Ryan had to fill his plate with.
Fourth act: We don't know what the big boys put on Blubba's plate to get him to flop like the Joplin Blasters, but just one look that's all it took!
Fifth act: Blubba's stature has increased to the point where he now hopes people will think he's famous for administering the tRUMPcaresless health care bill suppository to al of America. He really REALLY hopes people will forget about his War of the Worlds Part Duex tornado drill tweet joke. Har har- like that will ever go away.
Sixth act: The beat goes on. Did you ever hear how old auctioneers like Las Vegas and getting political donations?
