After important people complain, Turner Report to follow new guidelines

After giving it a lot of thought, I decided it was time to issue new guidelines for the Turner Report.

It has been brought to my attention that such people as David Wallace. C. J. Huff, Angie Besendorfer, Mike Woolston, Bruce Speck, Dwight Douglas (and possibly thousands of others) have been offended by the things I have written.

It bothers me greatly that there are people who do not like what I have written so from this point on, I will ask six questions before I publish a post:

Is it true?

Is it helpful?

Is it inspiring?

Is it necessary?

Is it kind?

Can Joplin City Manager Sam Anselm read it without blushing?

I hope this is a joke. While I may not always agree with your posts, I appreciate them. Don't let anyone start censoring you now.

This was intended to be a humorous follow-up to an earlier post I made about the new social media guidelines Joplin City Manager Sam Anselm has put in place for the Joplin Police Department and other city employees. The first five guidelines are the ones he instituted for city employees. I added the last one. I apologize if anyone thought this was legitimate. As I noted earlier on my Facebook page, the Turner Report is not going to change its approach. I am too old and set in my ways.

I am disappointed to see that Randy's claim to be turning over a new leaf was just more fake news!

I was hoping that the new guidelines would prevent anonymous commenters from posting negative comments about republicans.

Next thing you know some deplorable will probably post an observation that as far as we know Governor Greitens has never asked (or paid?) a porn star to get all spanky (Report: Trump told porn star to spank him with 'Forbes', maybe one with him & Ivanka on cover) with him!

Really?

Thank goodness! I can't imagine relying upon the Joplin Globe for my news.

As a Republican, i am tough and i can handle the comments. I appreciate the concept of freedom of speech. If it offends me, i move on. Just like in life.
At least on this blog we can get real-time news. Unlike the news in the Globe which is "filtered".
Randy may be a Democrat and I might be a Republican but we can agree on freedom of speech.
