The Jasper County Health Department reported two deaths due to COVID-19.
The victims were men in their 80s, according to a department news release. The deaths bring the county's toll to 77.
Sixty-five new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours, putting the total at 5,600.
The statistics do not include Jasper County residents who live in the Joplin city limits.
