The original event had started, but was delayed because of rain. During the delay, it was canceled at the request of law enforcement following a shooting threat.
At that time, Stockton Mayor Brandon Cahill issued the following statement:
Unfortunately the vigil in the park for Charlie Kirk was canceled, or postponed due to a tip to the City police dept of the possibility of someone going to “shoot the place up!! Thank you Cedar County and City of Stockton police for putting public safety ahead of all else!!! I am currently still in the park visiting with Cedar County and the City police, and both depts assure you all they will not take these threats lightly.The Facebook page for the Kirk vigil posted the following:
Due to the security concerns raised by a shooting threat that led to the original event's cancellation, the vigil has been rescheduled and moved to an indoor venue at the request of law enforcement.
The vigil is now set to take place on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025. This date, which would have been Charlie Kirk's 32nd birthday, has been recognized by the Senate as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.
We will gather to honor and remember Charlie Kirk and all those who have lost their lives to senseless violence.
Date: Tuesday, October 14th, 2025
Time: 7:00 PM

It is sad when you want to Honor the Memory of someone and some A-Holes has to Threaten to "Shoot Up" the event and Kill More Innocent People - I hope that all that has wished harm to his Memory or his Family or to others that have agreed with him - a slow descend to a Fiery Hell. It seems that the Leftist Liberals can never find Peace - they will always be Hateful, Angry, Violent, and are Motivated to Live a Life of Desperation. As those have and will learn their Violent Threats and Actions - Will have Consequences - As many have found out that are now standing in the Unemployment Lines and Lost their Careers, Jobs, and even have found themselves in Legal Situations.
