Frosted Cakeries fails Joplin Health Department inspection

Frosted Cakerie, 218 S. Main Street, failed its Joplin Health Department inspection Monday, according to information posted on the department website.

It probably won't make much of a difference, however, since the report indicates Frosted Cakerie is out of business.

The inspection report shows two priority violations and one core violation.

The priority violations were for an employee drink being observed on a prep table in the kitchen and for having potentially hazardous foods being cold held above 41 degrees.

The core violation was for having damaged door gaskets on the reach-in cooler.
