Two weeks after failing a Joplin Health Department inspection, The Corner, 2002 S. Main, failed again Monday, according to information posted on the department website.
The establishment was once again cited with a priority violation due to mice droppings in the bag and box section in the back room, according to the report.
Core violations were cited for the following:
-No hot water at the hand washing sink
-Damaged and missing gaskets from the front entrance, possibly allowing insects and rodents to enter
-Water damage on the bottom portion of the walls around the soda fountain dispenser
The Corner received an administrative violation for not posting an up-to-date health permit.

Holiday Inn Express and Suites Breakfast, 3400 S. Range Line Road
Andy's Frozen Custard, 2934 S. Range Line Road
New Heights Christian Academy, 4311 E. Newman Road

The Naz, 2124 Utica Street
Little Caesar's Pizza, 823 S. Maiden Lane
Wasabi Steakhouse and Sushi, 101 N. Range Line Road
Frank's Lounge, 2112 S. Main Street

How many times can they fail and still be open?
I was in the corner at 20th and main a few months ago and it was bad. I told my wife not to go there. Something sketchy is going on in that place behind the scenes…
NO, those are Chocolate Sprinkles.
It's hard to believe there could be anything sketchy going on in Joplin.
Not too many things are free at a convenience store, the 'chocolate sprinkles' might ba a rare exception.
