Pineville woman, live-in boyfriend face multiple felony charges

The McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney's office charged a Pineville woman with four counts of endangering the welfare of her children.

Her live-in boyfriend also is charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, as well as an additional count of child abuse.

Joshua Casswell McIntier, 37, and Amy Patino, 36, are being held without bond in the McDonald County Detention Center.

According to Patino's probable cause statement, one child told the Pineville Police Department she had been abused by McIntier.

From the probable cause statement:

Victim I disclosed she had been struck with a belt three times on the back side of her leg just below her buttock by her mother's live-in boyfriend. {She} took a photograph of the mark on a. cellular phone that showed a large bruise with the color of brown, blue and yellow.

V1 disclosed during a forensic interview at the Children's Advocacy Center. Her mother, Amy Patino, was present during the assault. There are no findings when Patino sought medical care for V1.

While I was at VI's residence with the school resource officer, McDonald County Juvenile Officer and Division of Family Services, it was learned V1 had been living in a storage shed on the property for a period of 1-2 months. The storage shed's only source of cooling was two exterior windows. A small mattress was on the floor of the storage shed where V1 slept.

V1's younger brother, V2 disclosed during a forensic interview conducted at the CAC that his bed for sleeping was a bean bag on the floor in a corner of the living room. Amy Patino is the biological mother of V1 and V2.

There are two twin infants living inside the residence.

The residence has evidence of an infestation of live bugs, rotten food displayed, fire hazards of an aluminum can used for an ash tray stuffed in baby clothes next to the baby crib.

McIntier's probable cause statement, in addition to what was described in Patino's statement, included allegations of improper text messages to Victim 1.

VI also had text messages in her cellular phone that she had shared with the School Resource Officer and members of the Division of Family Services where Joshua Mclntier made inappropriate statements to VI pretending to be a teenage boy.

According to the probable cause statement, McIntier "has a pending charge in Ottawa County, Oklahoma for being inappropriate with a child."

Why are these Sick Individuals, Joshua Casswell McIntier and Amy Patino even allowed to be around children? Hopefully these children get whatever help and love they need to move forward in their lives. No one should ever be allowed to hurt a child they are one of our most precious gifts.
