Former Redings Mill firefighter bound over for trial for manslaughter

Former Redings Mill firefighter Brant Cullen, 28, was bound over for trial for involuntary manslaughter following a preliminary hearing this morning in Jasper County Circuit Court.

Cullen's trial court arraignment is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. November 4. Court records show Judge Joseph Hensley presiding, but that's unlikely to be the case.

At the end of today's hearing, Lawrence County Circuit Court Judge Matthew Kasper, who was assigned the case after all of Jasper County's judges recused themselves indicated the Missouri Supreme Court will assign a new judge.

The  involuntary manslaughter charge is in connection with the October 19, 2024 death of Redings Mill and Lockwood firefighter Tucker Berry, 21.
