A November 10 pre-trial conference is scheduled in Jefferson County, Colorado District Court for Tara Palmer Kruckenberg, 55, who is charged with burglary of a dwelling,.
Kruckenberg, who went by the name Tara Brown when she was 6 and 10 p.m anchor at KODE in the early 2000s, is also charged with menacing, a misdemeanor, plus theft of less than $300 and criminal mischief, which are classified as petty offenses,.
The charges were filed September 9, 2024, with Kruckenberg waiving her preliminary hearing November 6, 2024. Her arraignment in the trial court was held March 17.
A misdemeanor assault charge was filed against Kruckenberg September 5, according to Jefferson County records.
Kruckenberg was charged with a protection order violation October 15 in Jefferson County and was freed after posting a $50 bond.
Court records indicate two men have received permanent restraining orders against Kruckenberg.

There is nothing about this that should be considered humorous or to make sparky comments about. I remember this young lady, thought she had a good future as a newscaster. Drugs, alcohol, poor decisions - this child deserves our wishes for recovering her life, our prayers, and sympathy for whatever led her to this place.

It is sad to see anyone that has thrown their life away or wasted any part of it in addiction, be it drugs, alcohol, gambling or whatever.

Reporting the news is just that. All of us have known or are friends with someone that may have committed a crime or even a violation, this is public information - granted nobody wants to be seen in a bad light, but if it is public information - reporting about it is just that. People that had been in the spotlight or public arena especially standout when it comes to reporting about their actions.
9:33 - exactly!! No one is making up this story, it is being published as the police report describes. This is called free press. Don’t want to end up in the press for bad behavior, then don’t do the bad behavior. A judge and jury will be the ones to decide if she is guilty, not us the commentators. Why it was reported in our area news is because she began her career here. It is not to make fun of her but to inform the general public of a legal occurrence. Anyone with a smart phone or computer can easily go to the area she was living in to verify that this incident happened. Educate yourselves, please!

All of these addicts need prayers for recovery. The jerks saying she made a choice most likely have little first hand experience with substance abuse. But let’s be honest it’s a shit on the other person world that seems to gain self worth by looking at someone else’s decline. Deep in their hearts they are just as ugly as this poor girl.
Might seem hard to believe but if anyone can turn it around and make a comeback it's Tara. She had everything going for her...beautiful, smart, funny as hell, a good heart that genuinely wanted to help everybody and I really mean everybody...doesn't matter what you look like, doesn't matter how much money you have, she loves helping the homeless, she loves making people laugh, she's full of life and never boring. I saw it all first hand for 2 years right before she started doing meth. She should've been a rockstar! Saw her take a breathalizer in the hospital and it was .41 but she could still walk and talk! I think she might be indestructible. I pray she gets clean and sober or at least gets it under control. God bless her with all the riches of heaven
She didn’t begin her career here, so you’re clearly the uneducated one. The publisher holds bias as this is only a portion of the story, therefore, the context has misleading content. Free press? More like sad journalism. The story is irrelevant to the targeted audience. I kept waiting to hear how this pertains to local information and it’s solely based on her presence on KODE from over 20 years ago. There is no reason this should be news here, and the fact that it is says more about the publisher.
She did not start her career here & Randy reporting on it 20 years later is classified is odd. Also this photo wasn’t released to public so technically illegal
