Cooper ordered to forfeit $50,000
It only took one day for the government to get its order requiring former Rep. Nathan Cooper, R-Cape Girardeau, to forfeit $50,000 in connection with his guilty plea on immigration fraud charges.
Judge Jean C. Hamilton signed the order today in documents filed in U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. The motion requesting the order was filed Wednesday by Assistant U. S. Attorney James Crowe
Cooper is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
