By the time October 2013 rolled around, construction on the new Joplin High School, East Middle School, Soaring Heights Elementary, and Irving Elementary were well underway, but apparently the C. J. Huff Administration was already talking new construction.
Documents filed in U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas indicate that the city of Joplin's master developer, David Wallace of Wallace-Bajjali, had been discussing projects with the Joplin R-8 School District.
The mention came in a document in which Wallace was explaining to a judge why he and Costa Bajjali would not be able to pay $450,000 in court-ordered reparations to investors who had been fleeced in a case, which also brought $120,000 in fines for Wallace and Bajjali. (The two men insist that they, too, were victims in the case.)
In the document, Wallace lists all of the proposed Joplin projects, saving the school district project for last under the category, "School Facilities."
The developer anticipates constructing all or a portion of one of more school facilities for the School District.
The document, which was filed with the court October 21, 2013, has no other mention of the Joplin School District.

Isn't that about the time that CJ's preschool became so urgent? Looking out for his silent partners, was he.
Birds of a feather...
I wonder if the board knows they are in business with Wallace Bajjalli. Explains why there is no money and no progress.
Auditor alert!!! CJ is in league with very questionable businessmen with leanings to Ponzi schemes!
Please, R8 Board, tell me THIS will be the last straw. Otherwise, we must believe you approve.
The fact that they can't raise 450 grand tells you they really aren't any better at stealing than they are at honest work. I can see why they and CJ get along so well. They have a lot in common.
There you go again, Turner, dividing the community by telling the truth and providing documentation. Oh, wait...that's a genuine service!
Thanks for the information, Mr. Turner. This is horrible, isn't it? You know there has to be more to the story. What buildings are they going to work together on? Where is the money coming from? Did we actually approve this somewhere? I think we need more information. We'll expect it from the Board soon.
The Wallace-Bajjalli School of Business in JHS/FTC has an alarming ring to it, doesn't it? I wonder if they bought that naming right. Or what they bought. Something would have to be given to them. Curious.
