Mark Rohr one of five finalists for Florida city manager position

Former Joplin City Manager Mark Rohr, most recently the city manager in League City, Tcxas, is one of five finalists for the city manager position in Destin, Florida, according to an article in the Northwest Florida Daily News.

The Destin City Council will interview Rohr and the other finalists November 27. The interviews will be conducted by telephone or Skype and are scheduled to last appoximately 45 minutes each.

Rohr and the other finalists were selected from an original field of 53 applicants.

Rohr was city manager in Joplin for 10 years before being fired by a 5-4 vote in February 2014. He served as city manager in League City from 2014 to 2016.


After League City fired him, he filed a wrongful dismissal lawsuit, which is ongoing in U. S. District Court.

The Destin position pays between $123,000 to $140,000.

You know what everyone makes mistakes. Let this man go on to live his life and earn a living dor his family. Bitterness, jealousy and hatred are not attractive qualities.
I'm sure you have made at least one mistake in your life.
God forgives, you should too.
It's amazing how wonderful life can be when you let go of all that resentment.

Where's the bitterness? He's just stating the facts. Rohr was fired in Joplin. He was fired in League City. He sued League City. This all happened.

Rohr is a special type of leader,unfortunately, his style fits 100 years ago municipal managers
