Preliminary hearing Thursday for former Sarcoxie teacher charged with having sex with student

A preliminary hearing for a former Sarcoxie High School English teacher charged with the felony of having sex with a student is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday before Judge Joseph Hensley in Jasper County Circuit Court.

The probable cause statement said Baylee Turner, 23, who was in her third year with the district, admitted to having sex with a student at her home sometime between January 14 and January 21. Court records do not indicate the student's age.

Turner, who is free after posting $10,000 bond, is represented by Joplin attorney Phil Glades, according to online court records.

Public schools have become a breeding ground for female sexual predators.

Politically Correct nonsense.

She probably didn't knock up the student and when I was in junior high I had dreams of sex with the cuter female teachers. I'm sure the horney little nipper will somehow survive.

The entire country is both stupid as well as perverted. Give the whore a half-dozen lashes and cut her loose to be someone's mother

Various online reports reference the accused having operated a religious blog where she posted about her faith as a "devout" catholic.

Perhaps it would be more accurate to state something like

Organized religions have become a breeding ground for female sexual predators.
