Joplin Health Department reports two COVID-19 deaths


The Joplin Health Department reported two deaths due to COVID-19, putting the city's total at 70, including five in December.

The victims were men in their 70s and 80s.

The department reported 47 new cases today and 3,887 to date. Of that total, 325 cases are active.

Joplin hospitals have 103 coronavirus patients, with 17 of them being Joplin residents.

Too bad Webb City Carl junction and Carthage and all the small surrounding towns are not participating in The mask mandate.
Thank you to all of them for helping spread covid not caring about harming others.
Hopefully none of them will become sick with the virus. I can't believe people still aren't taking it serious after so many have died. It is not something to be brushed off.
Shame on all those that aren't wearing mask and that are acting carelessly and others are dying as a result.
