New Joplin R-8 Board of Education to be sworn in Tuesday

After a one-year absence, former Irving Elementary Principal Debbie Fort will return to the Joplin R-8 Board of Education during a meeting scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Administration Building.

Fort and the top vote-getter in the April 2 election, incumbent Lori Musser (pictured), will be sworn in after the current board of education adjourns a brief session.

Jeff Koch will leave after three years as board president.
