Parson: Thanks to President Trump, America is one step closer to a Supreme Court that reflects our values

(From Gov. Mike Parson)

Governor Parson issued the following statement today following President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee:

“Thanks to President Trump, America is one step closer to a Supreme Court that reflects our values. The Senate should move swiftly to confirm Judge Kavanaugh who is eminently qualified and a proven conservative. The Supreme Court should interpret the law, not make the law. This is an enormous opportunity to make lasting change for our next generation.”

I am going to make this short and sweet. No it's not. Why would we think everyone in MO would have the same values? I am pro choice. I am a good person with good values who believes that women can make reproductive choices for themselves. Under the current system you can choose not to have an abortion. If that choice is removed, you have imposed your values on me. I believe everyone should love who they choose to love. If they want to honor that love with marriage, that is their right as tax paying citizens of this country. If marriage is removed as a choice for them, others values will have been imposed on them. My values are mine. Your values are yours. We can still be good people even if we don't have the same values checklist. We can get along and coexist without attempting to make others live by our values.

Men, any man, does not have a say in the abortion issue. That is a woman's choice and it is her's alone.

Seriously Karen...your "values" mean you can choose to kill someone? This epitomizes what is wrong with our country.

That has got to change.... what about a man's right? So a woman has a right to kill a man's child? What kind of world is that to live in?

The real problem with the country is that people like you have your noses in everyone else's business. If you do not want to have an abortion, that is your right. If Karen does want to have an abortion, that is also her right. Mind your own damned business.

Don't you mean thanks to President Putin?

A man has no right in this type of situation. It is strictly a woman's choice. Maybe a woman should have a say in whether or not a man gets sterilized.

OK, so men and women get together and a child/embryo is now involved. Are they married? If so then husband has some say in it, but since the mother will carry the child, nurture the child, spend way more time with the child then it is reasonable that the father should probably have 20-25% say in what happens. If they are not married then the woman has the right to terminate unless the father of that child wants to post a million dollar or so bond for the cost of raising that child of his that was caused by his carelessness for not having protection from unwanted pregnancy. If they both want to keep the child then child support guaranteed by the father needs to be addressed unless the mother is willing to give the child up to him for major child rearing duties. Of course the whole situation could have been prevented with government supported birth control for both mother and father, yes, that means the father or men need to be taking a birth control product similar to birth control pills. Will this or could this mean more sex amongst young people, hello, wake up as they are doing what has been done for the beginning of time. Our grandparents probably had sex or at least grandpa paid visits to prostitutes so our puritan past is not so puritan. At the very least the righteous Christians that want to outlaw the procedure then get to divvy up all the unwanted babies and raise them. OOPs, that will never happen so let the women decide.

To the proud “pro-lifers” in this thread, you should really consider the implications of what you claim before you show your ignorance. To be pro life you should also want those here already to live, but you could give a rat’s ass. Pro-lifers also support the death penalty, how do you reconcile that? Pro-lifers should also against wars in which millions have died, how do you reconcile that? Pro-lifers should support Planned Parenthood to prevent unwanted pregnancies or life threatening diseases, how do you reconcile that? The fact is you are not “Pro-life” as you claim, you are victims of your own ignorance, which certainly shouldn’t be replicated in your spawn. Love thy neighbor as thyself, and He who is without sin cast the first stone is what you preach before victimizing someone you don’t know at an abortion clinic, starting a war, or executing those whom have later been found innocent. Do us all a favor and STFU.

839pm, 1253pm really is ignorant, prolifers want to protect the unborn so that they may live, People crossing the border illegally are committing a crime, and if you commit crimes in this country with a child they will be sent to foster care, another relative, etc..We do it everyday, funny thing is you use scripture then say STFU, LOL you get some common sense, I live for the day when Roe V Wade is dead and it goes back to the states. Then you'll have to go to California, New York, and Illinois to get one....Now 1239 you STFU and go back to your safe place...

@ 8:12

I’m throwing you’re fairy tale belief scripture right back at you. You’re Christianity is responsible for the Crusades and other wars throughout history, you don’t practice what you preach, and are just as radical as any Muslim extremist, with your holier than thou attitude. Which God do you worship? The vengeful one of the Old Testament novel, or the kinder, gentler version of the New Testamant fiction? You can have your religion, just don’t push it on others that don’t believe such nonsense. Roe vs Wade is settled law, don’t get your hopes up, Huckleberry, it’s not going to change.

@8:25

Once again your ignorance is just simply astounding. Show me one time where I identified myself as believing in any God, or that I was a pro-lifer as you say. Your rambling rhetoric and nonsensical post without formulating any sort of a point exemplifies your ignorance once again. It is simply painful to even try to reply to your nonsense as I know I'm simply wasting my time and it's better spent elsewhere. You're close minded ideology is a waste of everyone's time.

@ 1:51

Let’s get this straight, Huckleberry. You responded to a comment that was addressed to PRO-LIFERS, and spouted some nonsense that “crimes against humanity”are deserving of the death penalty, but not a baby, possibly a result of rape. You are a twisting worm, my position is clear, a woman”s decision is none of your damn business.

Lol...what a low brow comment. That's the best you can do?

Aww... sorry you are a little bit hurt Einstein...lol. You really need to prepare the next time you are called out on spewing hateful rhetoric. Independent thought is definitely not your strong suit.again these things are independent of one another....but you are incapable of intellectual debate which means I am done. Nice try....

Abortions are going to happen. Whether they happen in a clinic or hospital or in a second floor walkup is a matter of legislation. Prior to Roe v. Wade, the death rate for young women during the course of an abortion was bordering on national health crisis proportions. If Roe v. Wade is repealed (which it will not be because then Republicans would lose the Pro Life vote) then abortions would simply be relegated to the tried and true back alley operations. Nobody, repeat nobody, can really force a woman to carry a child nine months if she does not choose to do so.

You were done before you started moron, claiming to be pro-life and wanting the death penalty. You’re right, I am a little contemptuous of twits that believe in fairy tales, trying to tell others how to live. You answer a comment addressed at “pro-lifers”, then turn tail and run when you’re called out. I’m not hurt in the least, it makes my day to point out hypocrites such as yourself. Your logic is remedial, and your rebuttals are pitiful.

It stops here, guys. If you can't make your comments without adding insults, then your comments are not worth making. Tone it down.

They did not mean anything Randy. That is just how angry old white people treat each other these days.

Opinions are like the orange anus. Everybody has one as their president. Oh, wait, never mind. That's belly buttons. Opinions are like belly buttons. Everybody has one. Glad we got that straight.
