The joint press conference was a missed opportunity to hold President Putin accountable as the world watched.I have said all along that Special Counsel Robert Mueller needs to be allowed to finish his work concerning Russia's meddling in our election.
The facts should be allowed to come out unimpeded.
In the meantime, we need to keep the sanctions in place and keep maximum pressure on Russia.

Funny, I called Long's DC office about an hour after the press conference ended to express almost the same sentiments. The staffer I spoke to, reply to the question "Did you see the press conference?" replied, "Yes, we are watching it now."
I asked how you could be "watching it now" when it ended an hour ago, he said "we're watching it on youtube."
I am certain that it was the talk of Long's office. And if Long wasn't in his DC office on a work day, where was he?
Long's statement is disengenuous and perhaps more of his auctioneer's penchant for stretching the truth?
