Ozark teacher named Irving Elementary assistant principal

(From Joplin Schools)

Mrs. Jennifer Sitzes has been named the new Irving Elementary School assistant principal. She has been an educator for the past 13 years. She spent 11 years as a teacher in the Ozark School District. While in Ozark she served on various leadership teams and with the Care to Learn organization. Through her classroom experience and mentoring opportunities she has gained a strong understanding of meeting the needs of diverse learners and to always ask, "What is best for our kids?" in every situation.

Following her tenure in Ozark, Mrs. Sitzes became the Fordland Elementary Principal, where she had the opportunity to lead positive building-wide changes in the areas of curriculum, instruction, student behavior, and culture. Mrs. Sitzes believes building strong relationships with students and teachers is the foundation of a great school.

Mrs. Sitzes and her family are excited for their move to Joplin, and joining the Irving team to begin serving our students, staff, and parents
