O'Brian pours $23,000 of his own money into Senate campaign; April report shows White had $174K

Former Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce President Rob O'Brian has contributed $23,000 of his own money into his 32nd District State Senate, according to a 48-hour report filed Monday with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

It is the first reported contribution for the O'Brian campaign. He had just filed for office at the time of the April 15 campaign finance deadline and was not required to file one and his next regular report is not due until July 15.

His opponent Rep. Bill White has yet to file his July report, but had $174,924.20 in his account when he filed his last report in April.

O'Brian....brought(bought) to you by Wallace-Bajalli, the Blasters, and a select group of elitists. Vote for White!

I can't imagine anyone with a clue voting for O'Brian. He's a sleezy crook.

Thank God there will be a Democrat on the ballot in November.

And no one is bothered by 1) the outrageous amount of money in Bill Whites coffers ( it’d take the average working person at least 6 years to earn that amount) 2) Bill White voted against setting limits on what Empire can charge ( oh that’s right - he has solar on his home , why would he care if your electric bill is $400 ) 3) he has not helped the working class of this district at all .

It should shock the conscience of regular folks that Bill White has a campaign war chest as large as he does - especially in light of the reality this is not a national race but rather a local, state race.
