Landis raised $23,930 to the $6,139 reported by Bartosh, who also filed his report today.
Landis' contributors included his former fellow board member Anne Sharp, who gave $750, plus 10 people whose contributed to the defunct Joplin Progress Committee, a group formed to guide Joplin voters into selecting the right kind of people be on the Board of Education and Joplin City Council:

The Bartosh report does not list any contributors, saying that no one gave the campaign more than $100.
Landis spent $10,998, almost all on signs during the filing period and still had $12,931.95 on hand.
Bartosh spent $664.95, all on signs.

Huh?! Wait! What?! Didn't Bartosh side with Landis over the school-board appointments? Now, Landis is running against him? Local politics takes another bizarre turn.
Landis has a proven track record. I don't mean that in a positive vein.
Landis is another sleazeball.
I lost a lot of respect for Bartosh on that school board business.
Given a choice, I'd have to vote Bartosh.
Where is CJ Huff when he is needed. He knows how to balance the books, er, cook the books and fits right in with our republican sleazeballs. Joplin is still not recovering from Huff and Neosho is in the same spot due to Huff imitator who has been ousted. Hopefully we might see some changes to Newton and McDonald county politicians, but will not be holding my breath. Harkins back to the days of Kansas City and Pendergrass era. Don't know about it? Look it up in your history books, that is if you can read.
I want to know about the lawsuit you mentioned
I made a decision when I filed the lawsuit last month that I would not be writing about it or commenting on it, except when I am writing about people who are also involved in the lawsuit. As hard as it is for me to write these words, the Joplin Globe ran a story on the lawsuit a couple of weeks ago and you should be able to find it on the Globe website.

Landis was Huff's puppy on the Joplin School board and I sure don't want this kind of individual anywhere near ANY political office.
I spit up in my mouth a little when I read the beginning of your first sentence, "Hoping to bring the same kind of financial oversight to the Jasper County Commission that he brought to the Joplin R-8 Board of Education..." Say what??? I know you were being facetious, but I am afraid from what I see across the county that this person who has no business being in a public office of any kind could possibly oust the incumbent and unfortunately there are not any term limits to limit the damage he could possibly do.
