Joplin City Council to meet with police chief to discuss 12-hour shifts

The Joplin City Council has scheduled an informal meeting 5:15 p.m. Monday at City Hall to discuss 12-hour shifts with Police Chief Matt Stewart.

Budget and staffing for the police and fire departments have been a major concern in recent months for the city.

The regular City Council meeting will follow at 6 p.m.
