Federal grand jury indicts Joplin man who lived in day care center on child pornography charges

A Turner Report post Tuesday night revealed that Kent Hagan, 52, Joplin, had been arrested on child pornography charges.

A federal grand jury indictment of Hagan on the same charges was announced today by the U. S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.

The news release is printed below:

A Joplin, Mo., man who lived in the same apartment where his girlfriend operated a daycare business was indicted by a federal grand jury today for receiving and distributing child pornography over the Internet.

Kent G. Hagan, 52, of Joplin, was charged in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Springfield, Mo. Today’s indictment replaces a federal criminal complaint that was filed against Hagan on Aug. 25, 2017. Hagan remains in federal custody without bond.

The indictment alleges that Hagan received and distributed child pornography over the Internet from Aug. 7 to Aug. 22, 2017.

According to an affidavit filed in support of the original criminal complaint, Hagan was living with his girlfriend, who operated an unlicensed day care at her residence. The police department received a tip on Aug. 21, 2017, that Hagan had images of child pornography on his cell phone. His girlfriend kicked him out of the residence, the affidavit says, but he had recently moved back in.

When law enforcement officers interviewed Hagan’s girlfriend, she told them that Hagan had stayed at her residence with the children when she was not present. She also told investigators that she has three minor children of her own and usually cares for four to six children at a time. Hagan’s girlfriend said she found “creepy” images of two young children she babysat for on Hagan’s cell phone and deleted them.

A forensic examination of Hagan’s cell phone found 809 images depicting children as young as toddlers in sexually provocative poses, 69 images that depicted anime child pornographic images and 11 images of suspected child pornography.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ami Harshad Miller. It was investigated by the FBI, the Joplin, Mo., Police Department and the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force.

My recommendation for him is the same as the Sonic guy.

Good fair trial, then nail him up in an old barn real well by his ball, then set the barn on fire.

This gives him a benevolent option, he can stay an burn up; or leave without the balls!!

Harvey, day after day you prove how un-American you are.

Harvey, sounds like you have an issue with your sexuality. Prison is fine if they are found guilty, our current police state has already ensured even an innocent person will lose their job, credit rating, freedom, and almost all their friends. Thinking like a sadistic sexual predator with an eye toward mob rule, means this kind of "justice" is outside of our societies, normal rational thinking. Besides I am pretty sure cruel and unusual is not part of the method of our justice system.

Castration is too good for anyone who sexually molests or assaults a child. How sick and twisted is a person, who becomes sexually aroused looking at or touching a child.
Lock them up in general population, throw away the key and look the other way.

Anonymous 5:55, maybe he'll do the right thing and stay in the barn and burn himself up( after all the lives he ruined)-- nothing cruel and unusual; fits the crime--check the Book of Numbers, chapter 3

Harvey, doesn't that same book of mythology state something about being a false witness, or falsely accusing your brother? Sorry, me thinks the tree in your eye is showing a bit, innocent until proven guilty, still the best, law of the land.....

To date, he has only ruined 2 lives-his own and apparently, yours. From the Bible - Numbers 3: The Levites are to assist Aaron. I have taken them in place of every firstborn. The number of Levites over one month old was 22,000. You may need a Dr, Harvey.
