Hearing set for Red Brick Pizza owner charged with 14 felony fraud counts

A 1:30 p.m. October 4 hearing is scheduled in Jasper County Circuit Court for the former franchise owner of RedBrick Pizza at Northpark Mall, who faces 14 felony counts of failure to pay sales tax with intent to defraud

The probable cause statement from the Missouri Department of Revenue says Maaria Nyazee, 31, Champaign, Illinois, has cheated the state out of $59,005.74 in sales tax and transferred money from the business account to her personal account.

Nyazee is also under investigation by the St. Louis County Prosecutor's Office for the same allegation, according to the probable cause statement.
