Signing for Classroom Confidential, Sports Talk Memories next Saturday

The first signing for my two new books, Classroom Confidential and Sports Talk Memories, is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 16 at Always Buying Books in Joplin.

Classroom Confidential, a follow-up to Let Teachers Teach, features a variety of my writings on education, covering educational issues, teachers, students, and administrators I have known, and memories of everything from field trips to guest speakers.

Sports Talk Memories is a collection of some of my best writing on area athletes, primarily from the 1990s, but also a couple from as far back as the 1940s, featuring athletes from Joplin, Webb City, Carl Junction, Carthage, Lamar, East Newton, Sarcoxie, Jasper, and Lockwood.

The new Turner Report t-shirts will also be for sale.

Some special bargains will be offered, including a free copy of one of my early books- Small Town News, The Turner Report, or Newspaper Days for anyone who buys two of my later books or a book and a t-shirt.

Bargain prices will be offered on some books.

Hope to see you there!

For those who do not live in this area or might not be able to make it to the signing, both books are available in paperback and e-book versions from Amazon.com.
