The Galena Unified School District 499 is pleased to announce that a contract for Superintendent of the Galena School District has been offered to Dr. Trey Moeller.
Dr. Moeller is currently an Assistant Superintendent at Webb City. He has worked in the Webb City School District as an Assistant Superintendent since 2011, and for the Webb City School District as a Principal, Assistant Principal, and teacher for a total of 31 years.
Dr. Moeller received his Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri Southern State University, his Master of Science degree from Missouri State University, and his Doctorate in Education from Saint Louis University.
There were sixteen applicants for the superintendent position. The board interviewed three finalists for the position during the week of February 4, 2019.
Dr. Moeller will assume the duties of the USD #499 Superintendent beginning on July 1, 2019 with a base salary of $120,000.
