Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.) Friday voted to withhold federal funding from Planned Parenthood and its affiliates.
“Protecting life is as fundamental to our founding as a nation as it is to the reason for which government exists,” Hartzler said. “Our Founding Fathers knew life to be an unalienable right, granted to all men by their Creator. Planned Parenthood is the leading provider of services to deny innocent unborn babies of that right, and does not deserve to be funded using taxpayer dollars. It is bad enough taxpayer dollars are being used to subsidize an organization that aborts babies; to learn they are selling the body parts of these aborted babies is unconscionable.”
