Seneca to remain affiliated with Bright Futures USA

Don't add Seneca to the list of school districts cutting ties with Bright Futures.

In its last edition, the Newton County News reported that Seneca is satisfied with Bright Futures and its parent organization Bright Futures USA and has no intention of following the lead of Webb City and East Newton, which have dropped out of Bright Futures and changed the name of their local services.

From the Newton County News article:

Seneca's Bright Futures chapter decided at a Monday meeting to stay affiliated with Bright Futures USA. Superintendent Jim Cummins said he thinks Bright Futures USA will help Seneca in the long term and he stressed that Seneca pays no money to the parent organization. Someone would have to present a compelling argument to leave Bright Futures at this point, he said.
