Joplin City Clerk Barb Hogelin has announced the schedule for upcoming meetings and work sessions through September for the Joplin City Council.
The first Council meeting in September has been moved to Tuesday, September 8 due to the Labor Day holiday on the first Monday (September 7) which is the Council’s usual meeting day. On Monday, September 14, the City Council will hold a Censure Hearing for Councilman Mike Woolston on alleged ethical violations.
These meetings will begin at 6 p.m., and are held in the Council Chambers on the fifth floor of City Hall, 602 South Main.
The City Council’s budget work sessions have been scheduled for mid-September. The meetings will be held on Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16 to review the proposed annual budget for the City of Joplin with the City staff. These work sessions begin at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers located on the fifth floor of City Hall. If the agenda items are not completed within the first two meetings, an additional work session will be held on Thursday, September 17.
