Ridder on ruling in field trip lawsuit: We are reviewing the decision with legal counsel

The Joplin R-8 School District issued the following statement today on Judge Douglas Harpool's ruling against the district in the case of Jane Doe vs. Joplin Schools:

Very late on Thursday, we learned of the federal judge's ruling for the case, Jane Doe vs. Joplin Schools. The case was heard in Western District of Missouri, Southwestern Division. At this time we are reviewing the judge's decision with legal counsel.

Dr. Norm Ridder

In his decision, Harpool ruled against the school district and issued a permanent injunction against the district taking any more field trips to religious locations. The lawsuit was filed against the district following a May 2015 North Middle School field trip to Victory Ministries and Sports Complex.

I've never in my life heard of or seen a school district that is sued more than the Joplin R-8 District. That is something to be SO PROUD OF!

This is just a warning tremor, the massive quake has not even been filed yet. As I've said before, this district will be temporarily run by the state in 5-10 years.
