A Joplin man is expected to plead guilty Monday to raping and sodomizing a 12-year-old Joplin girl.
The plea hearing, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. before Judge Gayle Crane, was originally planned for December 20 because no interpreters were available who could speak the Chuukese dialect of Rasty Kiris, 29.
Kiris allegedly raped and sodomized the Joplin girl multiple times between June and August of 2017. The Joplin Police Department investigated the case.
Kiris is being held in Jasper County Jail on $200,000 bond.
