Sears death watch, crime stories among top Turner Report/Inside Joplin posts for the week

The death watch has been on for quite some time for the Sears store at Joplin's Northpark Mall and for a short time this week, it appeared the announcement of its demise was imminent.

The bankruptcy court judge gave Sears at least a brief reprieve and will make a decision by the end of the month on whether to approve Chairman Eddie Lampbert's bid to keep Sears open while cutting the number of stores down to 425 or approving the company's liquidation.

The Sears story topped the list of most-visited Turner Report posts for the week.
