Why not invite President Donald Trump to give the State of the Union at Dixie Outfitters in Branson? It's located on Highway 76. Hell yeah!

Mix them MAGA hats with the Stars and Bars and you'll have Jared and Donald Jr. saying "Dude hold my beer" before the speech begins!

It's almost like Arkansas cause it pert near is! Not that there's anything the matter with Arkansas. Woooooooo. Pig. Sooie! Say that 3 times.

If Dixie Outfitters won't work then maybe he could give the speech on the Titanic just down the highway a piece. State of the Union on the bridge of the Titanic. Never before!

I am surprised Billy Long did not suggest he hold it a Wynn's Casino in Los Vegas.

I’d like Joplin—!on MSSU campus in Walton center
Set up 2,000 seats for Congress, Supreme Court, Cabinet, etc. sell the rest to supporters, etc., and use those profits to cover security , transportation, and other expenses

Concerned,
The Senate is a good idea; but not large enough

Be careful Harv, you are drooling. Not sure that our college campus should be used for political stage of a liar, cheat, grabber and overall despicable person that our orange chief is and has shown throughout his lifetime. That might appeal to those who follow his mantra, but honest Christians surely would not want him dirtying up our landscape. Bankrupt is what his administration is and it follows him throughout his life and now the republicans own it.

More than a dash of derp in the JoMo Republican stew. Get your copy of the recipe here:

To be fair, they allowed ol' Barry S on campus after the tornado. So, there is a precedent for allowing despicable scumbags on campus.

He could have his story telling hour at the Play Boy mansion, or at billy longs favorite casino. Or maybe somewhere in Russia.

Hey Harvey why not invite President Trump to give his State of the Union Rally at the Joplin Livestock Auction? They have plenty of seats and it won't smell if they give it a good power washing.

Harvey, are you referring to the Bud Walton Black Box Theatre at MSSU? Or is there another facility there that you are speaking of? If not, the Black Box is tiny. Just an FYI. Methinks you were a bit excited about gettin' ya boys here to Joplin?

Harvey Hutchinson said...

I’m speaking of the basketball arena; you are right I am excited Kitty. The reality is, it’s a very it’s a pipe dream for Joplin and the 4 States. More practical matter get he the Capital of West Virginia, a short bus ride away since the wicked witch of California can only say No, and refuse the House to the President of the United States of America. Sorry Witch, the Constitution allows the POTUS, and 3 others to enter the well when he wants to.

Harvey, you're showing your ineptitude with politics. Just because he's the president he can't do what he wants. Pelosi is House Speaker, it's her house.

@4:01 Just because you don't like Obama doesn't mean he's a despicable scumbag, especially compared to the current Traitor in Chief. Also completely unrelated and there is no precedent, SOTU and addressing natural disaster are in no way related.

7:57- it's all a matter of opinion. You have yours on Trump, I have mine on Barry. One holds no more validity than the other regardless of what you might think.

Anonymous 7:57 AM,
Before you pop off about my ineptitude, you should read the United States Corp Constitution Article 2, section 2

In addition to the President having the authority to walk into the Capitol, including the well anytime he wants too, the Librarian of Congress can as well.

Pelosi, wicked witch, is embarrassing her Democratic colleague’s. They are going to be sorry they elected her Speaker. She has no class!!

The State of the Union is the least of President Trump's problems right now.

Donald Trump folded like a used up lawn chair as soon as Laguardia Airport shut down due to a shortage of air traffic controllers.

Judging from his twitters after Roger Stone was perp-walked it must have been a true Code Brown day if you know what I mean.

A very similar thing happened before, Harvey apparently desn't remember what the Republican Majority leader did to shut off tv access just a few years ago.

TV feed of House Democrats' sit-in cut off By HADAS GOLD 06/22/2016 01:16 PM EDT Updated 06/22/2016 05:34 PM EDT

TV viewers hoping to catch all of the House Democrats' sit-in on the House floor on Wednesday had to find other methods besides Capitol chronicler C-SPAN.

That's because it's the House that controls C-SPAN's video and audio feeds, meaning when Republican leadership sent the House into recess, they cut off the feed.

Democrats are staging a "sit-in" on the House floor in protest of the GOP's refusal to allow a vote on a gun control measure following the Orlando massacre. Around 11:25 a.m., as Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.) yielded his time to Democratic Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer, (D-Md.), the House went into recess and the feed was cut.

"What we show on C-SPAN is the feed from the House. It is the House’s video, their feed, their audio, their camera angles. It’s the House recording studios that operates the cameras under the control of House majority leadership," C-SPAN spokesman Howard Mortman said in an interview. Mortman said they were not given warning that the House would be recessed or the feed cut off.

AshLee Strong, spokeswoman for Speaker of the House Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), said on Twitter that "The House cannot operate without members following the rules of the institution, so the House has recessed subject to the call of the chair."

With the cameras turned off, C-SPAN began broadcasting a Periscope livestream of the floor from Rep. Scott Peters (D-Calif.), with the full graphics afforded to normal video feeds of the House floor.

"Cameras in chamber controlled by House. House is currently in recess subject to call. House cameras are not permitted to show sit-in," read the "Alert" on the bottom of CSPAN's shot.

Other outlets, including television outlets, also picked up livestream videos from various members of Congress.

"It's no surprise that the House Republican leadership is attempting to silence our efforts to echo the call of the American people to act on gun violence. It's time to end the obstruction and act," said Drew Hammill, spokesman for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
