Lance T. Lee, 49, DeKalb, Illinois, the truck driver who was behind the wheel in the hit-and-run accident that killed Soaring Heights third grader Destiny Chambers, 8, was bound over for trial following a preliminary hearing this morning.
Lee was charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident after he struck and killed the child on Newman Road September 27, then kept driving until he reached Strafford.
The next hearing for Lee, who is represented by Springfield attorney Thomas Carver. is scheduled for 9 a.m. February 11 in Jasper County Circuit Court
