Lamping bill prohibits implementation of Common Core Standards

The battle over Common Core Standards has already begun in the state legislature and seems poised to be one of the biggest education issues on tap for 2014.

SB 514, prefiled by Sen. John Lamping, R-Ladue, Dec. 1, "prohibits the State Board of Education, DESE, and school districts from implementing Common Core Standards."

Lamping's bill also voids any actions that have been taken to adopt or implement Common Core Standards.

I was very encouraged to see this post about you filing to completely stop common core. You are so correct to stop it completely; this is a train wreck that will affect our nation for generations if is not stopped.

Sen. Lamping thank you so much for sticking with this action!!! You are our voice. Please stand strong against the suits that will pressure you this session. Please educate your fellow colleagues and we will do the same! Let us know what we can do to help. We are holding informational meetings, posting on FaceBook and educating our family and friends on the CCSS catastrophe! The word is getting around fast!
